System Center Virtual Machine Manager 1711 Preview for 4Sysops

The first in a series of two articles where I look at the preview (called 1711) of System Center 1801 is now online at 4sysops. In this article I look at Virtual Machine Manager and what this new release brings to the table. The tl;dr is Windows Server 2016 and 1709 support, shielded Linux VMs, Software Load Balancer (SLB) support, easy encryption of VM networks and management of ARM VMs in Azure. Read it here.

System Center 2012 Virtual Machine Manager 2012 SP1 Deep Dive for Technet Magazine–part 2

Back in the October issue of Technet Magazine I wrote about how to take all your network and compute hardware, along with any existing VMware and XENServer clusters and manage all that fabric with SCVMM 2012 SP1. Read that “part 1” here.

System Center 2012 Virtual Machine Manager 2012 SP1 Deep Dive for Technet Magazine

I have written a two part deep dive into using System Center Virtual Machine Manager 2012 SP1 for Technet Magazine. The first part looks at using SCVMM to manage your fabric, the underlying hardware, clusters, networks and storage as well as setting up SCVMM in a Highly Available fashion.
